Keep Up with the World through <\/strong>\u201c<\/strong>After School with Foreigners<\/strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c<\/em>As the world does not have only us,<\/em>\u201d <\/em>experiences of foreign languages and cultures are important for children in this era<\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Realising the importance of such interrelations, Naresuan University Demonstration School (Early Childhood and Primary) has designed the curriculum that allows students to gain experiences in accordance with National Curriculum on Early Childhood Education. The main aim is to strengthen each child\u2019s capacity so that one can get the equilibrium of body and mind, intellectually, mentally, emotionally and socially. The school also organises different challenging and fun activities compatible with children development to make them more interested in learning things around them such as new language, different cultures and foreigners. Since the school started, NUDS students have studied words, phrases and sentences according to the National Curriculum on several topics such as Myself, People, Environment from school and home, including media in daily life. Such experiences prepare the students to learn new things through languages and cultures different from their own.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Accordingly, NUDS has created the weekly project \u201cAfter School with Foreigners\u201d to improve students\u2019 language skills and reinforce their knowledge on multi-cultures by having NU foreign lecturers from various faculties and divisions interchangeably volunteer to design and do activities with students such as singing, playing games, teaching word cards, practising communication skills, pronouncing, role playing. The activities follow the theory \u201cPlay to Learn\u201d not \u201cLearn to Play,\u201d all of which truly integrate children with language as the way it should be.<\/p>\n
