“เล่นเพื่อเรียนรู้” คือเทคนิคการสอนที่บูรณาการสาระความรู้ ทักษะ และประสบการณ์เข้าด้วยกัน เพื่อให้เด็กๆ รู้สึกสนุกสนานและอยากเรียนรู้มากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษนั้น ถือได้ว่าเป็นเรื่องสำคัญในโลกปัจจุบัน เนื่องจากภาษาดังกล่าวเป็นเครื่องมือที่ใช้ติดต่อสื่อสารกับคนทั่วโลก การเล่นเพื่อเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ จึงเป็นอีกวิธีหนึ่งที่ใช้เป็นกลไกในการเรียนรู้ภาษาสำหรับเด็กๆ ในยุคปัจจุบัน
เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2563 ที่ผ่านมา นักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 1 โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร (ปฐมวัยและประถมศึกษา) ได้เรียนรู้ผ่านเทคนิคดังกล่าวโดยการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม You Are My Hero ตอน English Is Fun ซึ่งมี Mr. Hiarm Allen Hall และ คุณสิรัญญา อาจบัว คุณพ่อและคุณแม่ของน้องไทเกอร์ ให้เกียรติมาเป็นวิทยากรที่สร้างความสนุกสนานและสอดแทรกความรู้เกี่ยวกับศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษให้แก่นักเรียน โดยกิจกรรมดังกล่าวประกอบด้วย การเล่านิทานภาษาอังกฤษ การเล่นเกมต่อจิ๊กซอว์ตัวอักษร การเรียนรู้คำศัพท์เกี่ยวกับนาฬิกา และการร้องเพลงภาษาอังกฤษที่เกี่ยวกับอวัยวะในส่วนต่างๆ ของร่างกาย ซึ่งได้สร้างรอยยิ้ม เสียงหัวเราะ และความประทับใจให้แก่นักเรียน คุณครู และบุคลากรเป็นอย่างมากตลอดเวลาที่ดำเนินกิจกรรม…เป็นอีกหนึ่งความสุขที่เด็กๆ ได้รับจาก ‘ยอดมนุษย์’ ซึ่งเป็นคุณพ่อคุณแม่และผู้ปกครองของพวกเขาเอง

“Play to Learn” is a teaching technique that integrates knowledge, skill and experience altogether in order to make children have fun and want to learn more. In terms of learning English, it is regarded as an important matter in this age as the language is a device used for communicating with people across the world. The Play-to-Learn-English method is therefore applied in teaching children English these days.
On 15 January 2020, the K1 students at Naresuan University Demonstration School (Kindergarten and Primary) experienced such a method by joining “You Are My Hero (Episode: English Is Fun)” that had Mr. Hiarm Allen Hall and Mrs. Sirikanya Ard-Bua, the father and mother of the student Tiger, as the heroes who came to give fun and knowledge to NUDS students. The activities were varied and processed in English such as storytelling, jigsaw games, words about time, singing about body parts, all of which made everyone smile, laugh and feel fascinated immensely…It is another happiness that NUDS students find from the ‘heroes’ who are their own parents and guardians.
